Car: Skoda Superb II Elegance 2012 (3T)

Head Unit: Columbus  

I am upgrading  my speakers. The head unit has 4 x 20w as far as i know. I believe there is a factory fitted amplifier in the vehicle. Can anyone tell me what the factory fitted amplifier is so i can buy speakers that will work well. I need to know the make, model, power and frequency response. Thanks in advance for any help.

 

P.S any recommendations on speakers ? The current speakers are components in the front and standard in the rear.

Unless you have the Canton upgrade sound system! You will be wasting you money at just upgrading the speakers as it's only the head-unit that provides the built in amp (4 x 20w) at that would be from the unit in the glove-box (cd/sd)

 

I just recently had one of these fitted, packs a punch & is actually very cost effect compared to upgrading the speakers or even doing a full ICE install. I went for this Pioneer model as its more powerful & drops quite low with the extra control you get, fits under the seat (Passenger) no problems.
