Hello to a new brand for me. My Karoq 1.0 SE was ordered today. My 2016 C220SE Executive is still staring at me on the driveway. What have I done?  Anyway, time will tell, i put more effort into selecting this car than any other in my lifetime, but right now TBH i feel a little numb.

From the drivers seat i was sufficiantly moved to - er, make the move. Less spend and to be frank not a great step down in terms of refinement, if anything slightly less tyre roar. Will it average 68mpg Belgium and back? Possibly not, but as I only drove that trip once I wont hold it against the newcomer.

More space (in the back) for the family and better for the tip runs too. Right, that was cathartic and I ended on a positive note. I'm sure it'll be fine.

A warm welcome to the Forum !  Was that the MB 220SE?  I did look at that range before ordering my Octavia 1,5TSI.  The dealership didn't inspire and only gave me a short 10 mile test so lost the deal.  Just got rid of a 1990 124 200 Estate.

Many thanks, yes it is the MB. My second, had a C180 W204 before that.  - Cakming down a little now. After 8 years with the C Class, its a major move from me, as i didnt see myself having anything else. However, things change.

I'll live! Hope to report driving escstasy in the near future!

Had the MB 124 250D new in 1987.  Drove it all over the place, UK and Europe.  Completed 300,000 miles with only a clutch change and still regret parting even if it wasn't the fastest bit of machinery.
