Roof mounted interior lighting level

Featured Replies

Does anybody know how to set the roof mounted lighting to remain at the same brightness when the door is closed, as it is when opened, as it dims down when I close the door and my son struggles to see to fasten his seatbelt in the back when it’s dark, so I’m having to keep the door open to maintain a brighter light. I’ve checked settings, but can only see settings for the dash and footwell lighting.

Any help appreciated.

Does the Superb not have a switch to turn the interior lights on beside the rear view mirror, same as the Kodiaq?

Yes it looks the same. The problem is when you close the door the lights dim to a level lower than if you leave the door open and then go out after a set period or when you start the car. I just want the level to stay at the same brightness when I close the door rather than some kind of mood lighting!

I dont know about the `Sportline` but in mine I can shut the door and then turn the light on `permanently` (at the same intensity) and then turn it off again. Would that not work for you?

Thanks and yes that does work, it just seems like there should be some setting so you can vary the light level, in my case increasing it the same level as when the door is opened rather than having to accept the duller light level when the door closes or having to switch it on manually.
