Hey, hope someone can help, updating my factory radio to a Sony, install seems simple enough, all connected, power going to the new radio, connected it to my phone via Bluetooth but no sound, the weird thing is when pressing the the dial I am getting the beeping coming through that you get when pressing the volume dial!? 

 

The previous owner had connected an aux lead with some sort of adaptor (sorry I'm not very technical) to play devices through the speakers. I had disconnted it completely, but would he have messed about with the wiring be the cause of my issue

 

Again any help would be great as I have no idea how to fix, cheers

In honesty, I wouldn't have thought there will be a wiring issue if you hear the beeps as you are clearly getting the sound through the system.

Do you have any type of reset in the menu settings? 

Otherwise just scroll through the settings and see if there is any other setting or if it's on some kind of mute.

Yeah I agree, I thought it might have been a Bluetooth issue but then connected through the USB and still no sound. 

 

Checked through the settings and doesn't seem to be any mute option's! I haven't bothered linking up the radio antenna as I never use listen to it! Would that have any effect? 

 

No, you should still get sound, try connecting the antenna to see if you get sound from radio.

Connected up the antenna and played around with the settings, and success sound is now  working!
