Hi there wondering if anyone can help. 

 

Reently bought my third octavia a 2012 1.6tdi estate but it came with no key fobs only the main key so have to open/lock old skool way. 

 

Is there any way to reprogram another key fob to the car?

Yes obviously but they will also want a obscene amount of cash for doing so I'm into doing my own repairs. 

 

Just wondered if anyone had the same problem and had a solution that they sorted them selves.

If you don't have any fob at all, I think you'll have to brace yourself for a trip to the main stealer.

did the car have remote locking when it left the factory and the keys have been lost?

 

If it had a non remote key you may also require other parts

I didn't think remote keys would be an option on a 2012 skoda. 

 

I just got the car cheap with  1 non remote key just a key so have to put key in door to lock and unlock. 

 

Just wondered if I could get other key fobs from a scrap vehicle and get them coded  to lock/unlock my car but still just use the key I have to start the car.
