Hi. I have a citigo with start/stop. Yesterday it started ok,it fired on the first turn but I noticed it sounded weak.I drove 2 miles to the doctors and when I came out it wouldn't start.I called green flag and the tech jump started it and told me it was the battery. I drove straight to a local battery shop and he looked up the battery required and fitted an Exide efb stop/start 027. Nothing wouldn't start he checked everything but was at a loss. I had a bump start to get home and the car is on the drive and won't start. All I get is a loud thump. The car is 2013  75 bhp recently serviced and mot. The tech who looks after the car is away for two weeks. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thank you

Did he code the new battery into the car? If not, then that's your problem is that the car still thinks it has the old battery fitted.

Thanks for the reply. I got it sorted. The call out guys were wrong one said battery the next one said starter motor but they did get me mobile all be it by bump start. I took it to a local garage he found a dodgy earth strap replaced it. Now it starts no problem. Happy days
