Hi - my auto folding mirrors have stopped working out of the blue; not making any noise or showing signs of trying to work, can pull them into position but they don't click into place properly. Recently had a towbar fitted so I think the battery might have been disconnected briefly, but they worked for about 3 or 4 days after that before packing up. Any ideas if I can fix this, or need to go to a dealer? Car is a 65 plate Octavia Estate. Thanks in advance.

Sorry - should say NOT working!

You really need someone with a fault code scanner to check if there is a code giving any reason(s) why the mirrors don't fold any more.

 

Disconnecting the battery usually means several things don't work until reset - like one touch windows...
