Cabin filter

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2009 fabia 2 1.6 16v petrol I was wondering what size cabin filter I need I keep getting conflicting information from car part websites. Thanks in advance

You will have seen two versions, slightly different dimensions.

The smaller one is the pre facelift models originally fitted filter size and fits into a plastic frame (when you pull the old one out it will be in this frame).

The larger version is standard on post facelift 2010-. It doesnt require the plastic frame. It also fits the pre face lift simply by discarding the plastic frame and fitting directly .

Thanks i went on euro car parts they have 3 different sizes

32-252-216

31-252-217

36-254-224

The first two are the same (1mm difference) but different manufacturer. Those are the ones orginally fitted to your car. Last is the post facelift size.

Any will fit depending if you decide to keep the filter frame or not.

Mann filter is OE

Take whatever you want, cheapest (plain), carbon activated (not much more, sometimes even cheaper), or super duper Frecious version - only available in the larger size and more expensive.

I fitted the Frecious one in our 2009 fabia and threw away the plastic frame.

Cheers thanks for the help

Go to a Motor Factors desk with Pollen Filter in hand , after removing from the vehicle, then you can compare the one they hand over with the one in your hand.

Similar to what works with an air filter.
