Steering wheel changing

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about changing the steering wheel for my 2011 superb 2 from its original to the facelift look like from Octavia. I can get it for a good money, the part number is 5E0 419 091 H MBJ. I know I need a airbag too fitting this model of stering wheel.

The question is if anyone was making such change and if it is p&p or does it require any additional purchase of parts and coding. Or if you can reccomend any other steering wheel from the facelift models of Skoda.

The problem with a steering wheel from a MK3 Octavia/Superb is that the buttons won't work as they are MQB platform.

Instead, use a steering wheel from a MK2 FL Superb or FL Yeti as they are PQ35/46 platform and use the same styling. Alternatively, you can use the MK3 wheel and change the buttons to the correct versions.
