MFSW and Bluetooth wish in Octavia 5E

Featured Replies

Hello dear forum

Im danish so please excuse my gramma :)

I have used alot of time searcing this forum and the www for som answers regarding my plans about my latest buy, Octavi, and its none MFSW and none Bluetooth.

I just bought an Octavia 5E frin 2014. It has a Swing radio (Device pn: 5E0035867A. hardware: 820. software:6180) its the small screen

I would like to have my car with the following:

  1.  Bluetooth so i can listen to music but primary use the hands-free phone.
  2. Steering wheel buttons

As I can understand, by studying forums etc. :

If i want MFSW i can buy the buttons desperately as weel as the wiring loom for the buttons and airbag, at last som coding via VDCS. I have read that it is necessary to find out what version gateway i have. If its an high, mid or low, because I then would need to upgrade that aswell (if i dont have the high). Am I correct in any of this?

If im right, i was thinking about just changing the whole steering wheel to a one with buttons already installed. My current steering wheel is a 4 spoke one (but a nice quality).. Would this be possible? Or would you recommend it?

If I want bluetooth i could just buy a module (e.g. Fiscon) and code it. But what i really would like, was a full integrated thing in the radio. I have falling in the swing 2.5 which should have built in bluetooth. I have found a Swing model 5E0035871D for aorund 240 punds. That kind of swing has a bigger screen compared to my present one. Would It be possible to use that swing 2.5?

I really hope someone could help me.

Thanks in advance - Anders.

P.S. - I have the following car datacodes which I think has a relevance: E0A, 8ZH, 8RM, 7QO, I7Y, 7X1
