I want to replace the original rear view mirror with an autodimming one which mounts onto a RLS bracket.

Is there an easy way to remove the small mount off the windscreen?

I have got the answer now.

The original small Fabia mirror bracket does have to be removed. Both the RLS bracket and the autodimming mirror fit over the original.

There is no use for rain or light sensor on the pre FL Fabia II.

I am now waiting for the urethane windscreen adhesive.
