Fabia Monte Carlo Engine

Featured Replies

I have a 61 plate Monte Carlo 1.2TSI. There is a rattle for a couple of seconds when it starts up. I was after some more information regarding what experiences other people have had and what it is recommended I do. It is on 46K miles. Registered 14.01.2012.

Welcome.

Someone will help you with the VIN and the build date and is your engine the original Chain and Tensioner so covered by the TPI and maybe worth getting the upgraded set fitted.

Link in here to the 1.2 TSI thread you will find more info in.

Thanks for the reply.

Would the Skoda dealership fit the upgraded set and if so, how much is it likely to cost?

They might well fit them if you pay them and they accept that the vehicle is one that is covered under the TPI.

No idea @ what cost,

it might be mentioned in some of the linked threads or someone will be along that has had the job done or quotes on it.
