Just a quick one for you technical boys, ive got a new sportline 272 and want to permanently disable the stop start, i previously had a 17 plate sportline 190 cr and i disabled it using vagcom by adapting the voltage limit from 7.6 volts (default) to 12.1 volts, Did this on the new car all adapted and accepted ok but it still operates, has anyone got any ideas how to do it if it is possible

New WLTP compliant models have had the ability to disable start/stop removed from their software.

 

To disable it you either:

- unplug the current sense lead from the battery management system monitor by the battery; or

- fit a memory system to the start/stop switch (there are several on eBay etc.)
