Hi, I have a 2003 mk1 1.8t petrol 

 

When trying to lock the doors with key it seems to lock all doors apart from drivers door, and sometimes when manually locking it all the windows go down very annoying, I've tried pushing the pin down and then shutting the door but no luck because the pin won't go down (but it does go down when car is turned on for some reason just not when car is turned off) 

 Any tips to fix this? Is it an easy fix?

check thatcable between the pillar and the drivers door for corrosion and also the multiplug connectors.
