Vcds keeps rejecting the coding

Featured Replies

Have guy looking at car and when he is trying to re-code the bluetooth module is not allowing any re-coding to activate on the cd player.

I have a 3C8 035 730 E

Cd player is Bolero

Skoda scout 2012

I will follow this with interest as my radio is a Bolero of the same age.

However, there is no bluetooth in mine as that is a separate external unit which I don't have. The 6 cd player is also built in, not external as on previous versions.

Just in case it helps, here are the coding details of mine:

Radio
Part #: 1Z0035156M
Component: BOLERO
Coding: 0D0004000001 (hex)

@Peterl3986 - You might want to start by posting a full autoscan from VCDS so we can see what modules your car has and how they are configured etc.

The guy looking at it hasn't got a current version of the vcds so not sure if that will be an issue. He is an autospark but obviously in the current climate he isn't wanting to invest the money in upgrading yet.

He was able to scan, just checking if the fact that his vcds is out of date that there won't be an issue.

The up to date VCDS software is a free download from the RossTech site if your autospark is using a genuine cable. If he is using a pirated VCDS cable then they are using hacked software which is not updatable and could contain viruses.
