mk2 l&k steering wheel upgrade to mk5 golf?

im kitting out my l&k. ive gotten pfl vrs kit. i want to upgrade to a 3 spoke leather wheel. my car already has mfsw, so id say it has the necessary ring and steering control module. id like to keep the mfw and thats why i havn't fitted a vrs one straight away. I font like the shape of the fl wheel so that's a no go. if I fitted a mk5 golf 3 spoke leather wheel, would the mf buttons work as i already have the controller, or would it need further coding? on top of that,

can you change the airbag covers? ive read a few fourms and i know the wheel would physically fit, but i want the radio controls too! heres a pic of her for you all
