I have 2003 Fabia SDI. As the warmer whether came tried to run on the AC the other day and on push of the button nothing happens, button light doesn't even come up, so totally dead. Checked the error codes with VCDS and there is also nothing. I also checked all the fuses. I refilled it last year in august and checked for leakages, everything was perfectly fine. Any ideas what should I take a look at next? 

You had the cabin fan switched on and working at the time, I presume? It won't come on otherwise.

Yeah of course

Its probably the cables low down on the N/S front of the engine.There are two plugs and sockets and one is for the charging light and the other is the power to the aircon.My 6Y5 had exactly the same symptoms and I had to remove the corroded plugs and sockets and solder them up.Perfect now.
