Octavia Mk2 vRS Tuning?

Featured Replies

Does all 2.0 engines on Octavia MK2 AWD has same tuning capabilities?
I'm mostly interested in TDI CFHC engine(with particle filter).

What are usual price points to tune up this car?
At what power fuel economy starts to suffer considerably? And at what point/power you need to start changing other parts like:  chassis, gearbox etc.?

Welcome to the forums!

It should be relatively easy to take the 140PS CFHC to 170-180PS with a remap. Revo would currently charge £399 and other tuners are likely to be similar. Link: https://www.onlyrevo.com/product-details/software/skoda/octavia-mk2-2005-2013/48/stage-1

Fuel economy will depend more on how you drive it rather than the remap. No idea when you'd need to start replacing other parts but the above should probably be fine on a well maintained, otherwise standard car.
