Shouldn't be an issue... the only plugs on the fab are two airbag plugs and the seat belt sensor plug. Changing the seats shouldn't stop the car from starting. Is it turning over? or no sound at all? 

 

Did you disconnect the battery when changing the seats? 

Hi all sorted now car was turning over but wouldn't start didn't disconnect battery before disconnecting seats and have airbag fault had to be put on computer and fault erased and started straight away

Airbag fault still should not stop the car starting.............something else happened.....

Air bag reset on computer and started straight away

I don't doubt in what your saying happened and now it's ok, thats good

 

What does not make sense is an airbag fault does not (should not ) stop a vehicle starting something else must have happened.

I didn't disconnect the battery before I done it and the ECU then thinks the cars been in an accident because it thinks the airbags been deployed and stops the fuel pump from sending fuel according to my mechanic 

The "theory" in what he says is possible, and is kind of logical, but normally it's the G sensor that detects a crash in the ECU and deploys the airbags / shuts the fuel supply, not just a wiring "fault".........and assuming you did not unplug the seats with "ignition on", I don't see how the car would tell.

Still very odd to me.

 

Out of interest why the seats from the Seat, are they not similar ?
