Roof Spoiler for hatchback (limo)?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I've tried searching but had no joy so far - has anyone fitted a 'roof spoiler' from SS to their hatch? There are two available:

1. http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-limousine-rear-roof-spoiler-RS-PLUS

Octavia III limousine - rear roof spoiler RS PLUS

2. http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-limousine-rear-roof-spoiler-RS-PLUS-V2-with-Ribs

Octavia III limousine - rear roof spoiler RS PLUS V2 with Ribs

Would like to see some other pics of them fitted before I commit. Also, opinions on plain vs rib? Will be going on a black VRS hatch.

Thanks folks!

It is totally unnecessary gadget. Air is anyway flowing over the glass. Could be that you worsen the airflow, making the rain drops and dirt not properly slipping away. From my experience O3 is properly designed in this part, at least, making rear wiper unnecessary.

My vote against.

I have no doubt there is no performance advantage to having it, it will be purely for aesthetics! I think it looks good as a subtle design feature. Interesting point about rain though, hadn't thought of that!

Thanks.
