Superb rear suspension arms

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Dealer has just given me a very long list of urgent or near urgent repairs on my Superb II  estate (153K miles, 2012). Among them is rear lower arms. Dos anyone know if this means the lower arm that holds the bottom of the spring, or the lower control arm? Both seem to be possible? Their part number is 1K0505311AB.

Thanks for any input.

That part number is the lower arm which holds the spring - if you google it, the pictures make it clear which it is.

The inner bolts are adjustable and are probably seized so I'd suggest replacing them at the same time. If you have xenon headlights, there will also be a level sensor attached to the passenger side one and you'll need some rivnuts to attach it to the new arm.

Maybe take it to an independent for a 2ND opinion on what is "urgently" required🤑

bottom rear arms cost me about £38.50 a side and about £18 a side for the bolts ,washer and nut (Dealer Only)

Hi Langers2k. Just checked your link and the website says that the part is not compatible with my car when I enter its details to check comptibility. Can I just ignore that (i.e. is it just a database error)?
