I found out today my new car won't arrive until AT LEAST the end of next month

I originally chose the car/colour/options in the middle of Feb and my company said it would be ready on or around April 21st, then it was changed to May 21st, now it could be the middle of June as they have been told the car is to be stuck together on week 19 as it's a "special build".

Has anyone had any delays on cars they have ordered or is it just me and the other bloke on my firm who ordered an Octy?

I ordered my fabia VRS in the middle of january promised to be here by march. i still don't have it!!!! apparently they lost the order and it was ordered febuary.

I was told it was here on the 6th of april but it had failed its PDI check.....the bits were going to take a week to arrive.. now its the 21st aprill and I am soo mad!

I hope you're kicking up a stink and they're bending over backwards to accommodate you! Let's hope when it arrives they're better for servicing!!!

I have but they don't seem to care. They are doing me the best deal (through family), but because they have done that, they seem to think they can mess me about and leave me till last as they are making little profit.

They have been good as they have insured a car for me to drive but the car is a family members car! I just don't see how it can take soo long. 16 weeks and still counting!

I am still a customer! I have feelings! I appreciate they have done me a good deal but I don't think it's worth all this hassle for a few hundered quid.

it's not a good position to be in...I can never get a straight answer to where my car is! it's pathetic!

before easter it was only a couple of days to get parts for it and apparently it could now be a couple of weeks before I get the parts.

(when the PDI check was done the rear door would not open when using remote central locking...any ideas? is this common? how long will it take?)

No worries about any hijacking, you seem to be getting a bum deal on your vRS.

I don't think there is anything more frustrating that waiting for a new car.

My car hasn't even been made let alone PDI'd.

I can't wait! :(

My furby order was cocked up at factory and now due to colour change there is no hope of build untill june, Dealer mentioned something about a new guy at Skoda cockng up, never mind by that time hopefuly they will have fixed the stutter problem on the vRS, and the weather will have improved, if it had arrived allready it would have been covered in salt and road cr@p, every cloud etc. SWMBO is looking at new cars now and for what she wants it could mean a factory order, so order now for september reg?:lol:

You can see my options on my sig to give you some idea of what it takes to warrant a special build, I assume things like the xenons and suspension have caused it? Or maybe the sunset glass? I don't honestly know.

I was originally quoted 6-8 weeks with the options but thats obviously not the case
