I need someone with VCDS to help me please, I'm located up north in Gateshead but willing to travel to you if you're not too far .. it's just to enable DAB on my RNS315 unit

RNS315 shouldn't need DAB enabling, it simply needs a DAB antenna connecting and it should work.

 

There's a story here somewhere, what is it?

no it definitely does .. the unit has DAB, I have an antenna connected, which I know works as my previous unit had DAB .. I've done quite a bit of reading up on this, and DAB can be enabled/disabled on the rns315 via VCDS .. I even know how, only problem is I dont have it haha , below is a step by step, and I have screenshots too

 

select control module  --  37 navigation  --  coding 07  --  bit 4, DAB radio inactive (tickbox)

Ah, so someone has deactivated it. That's a strange thing to have done, can't really see any benefit in doing so.

 

I can do it here, but you're not really allowed to drive here for something unnecessary. Curiously, I could drive to you and do it as long as I charged you, as it would be classed as work travel, however that's  not realistic really. There must be someone closer.
