2015 octavia VRS NO GPS Signal.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I’m just wondering if anyone else is encountering this problem?

My nav has stopped working saying there is no GPS signal for the last few days. I’ve tried resetting the infotainment system by holding the power button for 20s but no luck. I’m hoping it’s not the antenna as I don’t really want to fork out for a replacement as I don’t really use it apart from it running on the autobahn to see where the next service station is.

Any tips and tricks for resetting this?

I'd suggest you check that the blue connector at the back of the headunit (in the glovebox) is connected.

You'll need two removal keys (eBay, cheap as chips) to remove the headunit.

If it is connected and you don't want the pain of dealing with a Skoda dealer you can buy a cheap GPS receiver that can be plugged into the headunit and the receiver hidden in the dash (behind the radio screen).

I bought my OEM antenna for less than an aftermarket one, £8 on eBay from Latvia. Check the blue plug on the back of the radio and have a scan done to confirm.
