Tyres aren't available in the 195/55R14 size.

You probably have 6Jx14 ET43 rims. You could also fit 6Jx14 ET38 rims from the VW Golf MK4 to increase the front and rear track by 10mm, or 6Jx14 ET37 rims from the Skoda Fabia MK2 to increase the front and rear track by 12mm.

You can fit 185/65R14 or 195/60R14 tyres, while still keeping the outside rolling diameter of the tyre reasonably close to the original 185/60R14 size.

So either +10mm on the width, or +5% on the aspect ratio.

Either of these two alternative sizes should provide an improvement in ride comfort as the sidewalls are higher. They both have 86 load index instead of the 82 load index on the 185/60R14 size, so you can lower your tyre pressures by about 4psi if you want to.

185/65R14 is a cheaper and more common size than 195/60R14.
