Hi all,

 

I'm due to pick up my Fabia next week, 68 plate SE 75 bhp MPI. Does anybody know if it would have a GPF? It was registered sept 2018, and have seen a few people saying they started to introduce then from sept 2018, but totally unsure if this applies to the MPI or only the TSI? 

 

I have checked the workshop manual in the exhaust section for MPI and TSI, and only shows the CAT, no GPF. It was dated 2019 I think (for the MPI).

The GPF should only be necessary for direct-injection engines. The MPI doesn't burn at the high pressures that produce the regulation-busting particulates.

Thanks for clearing that up ettlz - after searching the internet I've got a better understanding between MPI and direct injection.
