Hi all, 66plate petrol been sat for weeks !!  started yesterday perfectly BUT yellow engine came on??   Switched off , tried again same thing.

No strange noises, had short run ,light remains on any ideas /quick fix.

Could have been caused by the battery being a bit low. If that's the case the light will often go out after the fault (or what it thought was a fault) hasn't been seen during three runs.

Thanks , my after thought was something with battery. Have battery on charge, will sneek a couple of wee runs .

Just take a drive to Barnard Castle and back. The place seems to cure all sorts of problems.
