I think it depends on the quality of labour and materials at the last service and the use it's had since then.

Are you 200 miles over a 9,400 / 372 day Fixed Service interval with VW504 / 507 so Long Life oil in the engine.?

That is the spec of oil for a TDI.  VW507 and likely 5w 30 FS III.

 

You can go to 18,500 thousand miles or more if you want as the car could be on Variable / Flexible Servicing rather than fixed.
