Skoda Rapid 1.4tdi 2016 can gateway

Featured Replies

Hi,

this is very new to me!

i have a Skoda Rapid 2016, late built 2015 1.4tdi.

My VCDS cant reach my can gateway 6C0 909 901.  I cant get a full autoscan when it gets stuck trying to reach the gateway thru autoscan.

can anyone tell me where the gateway is placed in the car?

i cant actually find it :-/

when i talk to Skoda spareparts they dont find any part with the partnumber 6C0 909 901.

hope you can help me!

best regards

Ronnie

Pretty sure it's built into the BCM/Cent Elect module and that 6C0 909 901 is just the software version.

As you using a genuine VCDS cable with the latest software?

Hi Langers2k,

I upgraded from an older VCDS-cable to e newer one at the end of March this year.

And i been in contact with Andy S at Rosstech regarding this.

First it was a ROD-file problem but now the newer version of cable and software 20.4 just ”spins” when im trying to make a autoscan.

I can find the gateway when i do a ”gateway installation list” in autoscan. Attached that file here now.

best regards

Ronnie

I'm sure Andy will sort you out, he'll certainly know more than I do.

If you take a look at this example scan from another similar Rapid: https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?8759-skoda-rapid-not-started

You can see the Central Electronics and CAN gateway share the same hardware:

Address 09: Cent. Elect. (J519) Labels: 6R0-937-08x-09.clb
   Part No SW: 6R0 937 087 R HW: 6R0 937 087
   Component: BCM PQ25 H+4 H34 0424

Address 19: CAN Gateway (J533) Labels: 6N0-909-901-6R.clb
   Part No SW: 6N0 909 901 HW: 6R0 937 087
   Component: GW-K-CAN TP20 H34 0424

Pretty sure this is because they are combined in a single unit :)
