Fitted the Polo style aero wiper today, what a bloody nightmare to get the old one off, after a lot of jiggling it from side to side, soaking it in WD40, swearing like a trooper at it, my trusty mini hacksaw got the #### off!...

Really pleased with the result, seems to wipe better IMO. Yes it's a little shorter than the original but looks far, far better...

I picked it up at the local VW dealer as I wanted it ASAP and it was only

You can buy a puller to get them off. They can be *very* tight.

i've now modified mine by fitting a Volvo C30 rear blade, slight bit of messing to get it fitted , blade shape same, but fitment different, but worth the messing due to it being approx 2.5 inches longer

and it cost me nowt as well ;)

I kinda like the OE one the aero one looks well..... Gay.... runs and hides

Just fitted my car with one. I used the arm from the polo, and the wiper from the Octavia.

First, one has to flatten the lower end of the wiper arm as previously described.

To fit the wiper, one has to cut off about 1 inch from the lower part of the wiper. Take the plastic cap off, that free the two metal pieces tied up by the cap. shorten them by about 2 cm, same with the rubber. Push the plastic cap back into place. Now, the original length of the rear wiper is available!

Last, shorten the plastic cover by about 5 mm. I used a scissors to cut off the raw end, then a sand-block to apply the final finish.

The result is a quiet rear wiper. The original was very noisy and rattled over the glas.
