The fuse in slot 34 if my rh 64 fabia is missing. When i put one in it just falls out could the socket hole be broken?

Why do you think there should be a fuse there?

On the diagram it doesnt say its unassigned and im having problems with the bit it controls 

That's not much to go on in fairness. What is wrong with the car and why do you think this specific fuse position is connected to the problem?

Will have a look shortly, but if it's anything even vaguely related to the engine; knowing what your engine code is would be an excellent start.

Ok. I have exhaust system light on. Been told its the egr valve that has gone. £1000. Just looking at fuse box for something else and realised there is a fuse missing where, according to diagram there should be one. Looked up what it does and its the vacuum pump to the control unit which affects the exhaust. Just wondered why its missing and if its related to problem. I tried another same amp fuse and it falls out the slot which i then wondered is the slot broken? Lol

Not every fuse position is populated on every car built. The fuse diagram in the manual must cover all possible vehicle configurations in production and will list fuses that are not actually used on your car. Time to walk back from that idea and start again with your fault finding.

A quick spin around some wiring diagrams suggests it's only used on the petrol engines. My guess would be that yours is a 1.6 diesel.

Thank u wino, i think its 1.4 but yes diesel. So are u saying that slot on my car is not used? Sorry im a novice lol

Yep, that's what I'm saying. If you look closely at some of the unassigned spots in the fusebox, they probably lack the springy metal contacts that would hold a fuse if one was needed in there. Check your number 34 location and compare with one that does have a fuse fitted in, making sure you pop that fuse back in afterwards, in the same spot.
