I did the same mod fitting a golf GTI 21.7x3.0mm (5Q0511305AT). Perfect fit ;)

 

It works nicely.

Ah nice one, ive emailed darkside, did you notice much difference to the standard octy one?

Slightly stiffer rear axle, not sporty yet, but more controlled roll.

 

For a 80€ upgrade (2nd hand) it was worth it. If I had found the 3.6mm I may have gone for it.

Darkside replied, they said they havent fitted one to an octavia and suggest laying it against the vrs one, im gunna say they will probs fit if wolands fitted a gti one, do you need different arb links or do standard octavia ones work with them? Thanks

Basically all MQB multi-link 2WD rear axles are the same. 

 

I installed new standard links, there was no difference ;)

 

Edit: the club sport rarb ref is 5Q0 511 305 BA

same part number, suffix indicates the variant. It will fit perfectly ;)
