RHD skoda Octavia 2003 1.9tdi estate

Featured Replies

Hi, this is a pretty comprehensive description and hope it's enough info to get the right answer.

I have no brake lights on my skoda octavia 2003 estate 1.9tdi. Saying that the two side ones are inop but the one above the rear estate door works.

When I look at fuses I'm being told it is a 10amp number 13 but I do not have a fuse in number 13 and it is not even live? I have checked the relays and all are ok!

The brake lights out got my attention through the glow plug warning light flashing on my dash. The car starts and runs great as I've had it since March 2020 and done 1500 miles.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Do your tail lights work OK?

Have you checked for continuity from the bulb sockets to earth?  There's a common earth point near the multiplayer CD head on the LHS which is also where the rear screenwash pipe runs, and where there is often a join which can leak - hence the possibility of a corroded earth point.

Hi Mate, yes the tale lights work.
