Featured Replies

For MY 21 looks like Superb will get Octavia steering wheel, Power rounded up to the next 10hp and Area View with Trailer Assist from the iV

It will also now get Wireless CarPlay across the range (at last!) with USB-C all round

This was only announced yesterday approximately when do you think one can order a MY21 car and know that is what you will get ?

Interesting to see the incremental updates year on year rather than one big update. Is this usual for Skoda?

I'm surprised that they haven't announced an all-new Superb yet. Good for us with Mk3's though. 😀

Good grief... they’ve taken the grill styling cues from a ‘53 Buick!

@MiniEggs having had a quick look at your link, it looks like maybe a full electric version is coming too? “und zusätzlicher E-Maschine (Systemleistung 218 PS) kommen.

or has Google Translator let me down (it comes out as “E Machine” - is this what Germany uses for BEV?

if so, for me this is a very exciting development

Just found out that my Superb iV L and K won't be built till week 33 and then upto 6 weeks till I get it = week 39!!! It was ordered in week 9.

I wonder if I might sneak into the MY21 production as from what I understand that usually kicks in about August.🤞

218PS is the power output of the iV so I would say this is the PHEV. Full BEV is coming at some point as there will be a BEV Passat in the next few years or so

2 other things to be noticed. Max power for TDI engine incresases by 10 HP to 200 HP and TSI comes back to 280 HP! 👍

Yeah, it’s normal.

Wireless CarPlay is definitely an interesting one. Whilst not a big fan of assumptions, I think this means the entire Superb line-up will move to MIB3, instead of MIB3 for the iV and MIB2.5 for everything else as it is right now.

The new steering wheel looks nice as well.

Just like it was with the Gold R, I have a feeling the change of power will be more of an administrative change than an actual change in power.

The only thing I'm annoyed about missing out on, having just had a Superb built pre these changes, is wireless car play and 360 degree area view

I'm currently using a Kodiaq on loan by the dealer and having to plug and unplug your phone for carplay gets old fast

The new engines are certainly welcome, here in Ireland the highest engine output available is currently 150bhp (Petrol and Diesel), there is the iV but thats way too expensive imo. I currently have a 190 diesel which is due for replacement in August but there is no direct replacement, hopefully with the reduced NOx output they will reintroduce the higher output engines (we have a stupid NOx registration tax along with the CO2 based registration tax 🙄).

Wireless CarPlay is a nice addition but only for short trips if you don't have wireless charging too.
