Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me. I have a Skoda Octavia RS estate car TSI 2013 with timing chain. Every now and then / now and then there are strange noises which I can hardly describe, that's why I made the video. Never on the highway, rarely with 80kmh mostly in 30 or 50 zones. And never standing still. But it doesn't matter if I accelerate / brake / straight ahead or curve / winter or summer. Does anyone have an idea what this could be?

Was it hot with AC when you had these noises ?

Hard to tell, but I had something similar on my VW Passat TSI

 

Noise occurred when lifting off..  almost like a sucking sound??

 

turned out there were some breathers at the top of the engine that were blocked and needed replacing... fairly cheap to do

 

the mechanic just pulled the dipstick out when the engine was running and you could feel the sucking pressure.
