Hi ! Does someone have this issue fixed ? I'm getting the very same behavior of my Mk 3 O3 RS (2.0 TSI CHHA), random rough operation at restart and then limp mode + EPC light. Only P1545 fault recorded. Once the fault is cleared, runs perfectly ... I've already replaced the throttle body ...

To my knowledge, there is no EGR circuit, "EGR" is done by valve timing overlap.

I have all new Bembo Xtra pads and get the same knock from the front brakes when they "sit" in the braking direction. No rattle however.

Hi guys ! Just a short thread after a drive in Germany and on the Autobahn. I was really impressed and even surprised by my RS230. I knew it's a fantastic car, but I did not have the chance to drive it fast. Distance of 130km at an average of 118km/h (including lots of 80-100-130km/h limitations), quite some time spent between 160 and 190km/h, several times above 200 and a peak at 225km/h (on GPS), and there was still power left ! The car behaved flawlessly and beautifully, WHAT A CAR !

On TSI engines, the fuel filter is fully integrated to the fuel delivery module (FDM) inside the fuel tank, is cannot be serviced. At best, you change the whole FDM.

Almost 500 pounds for a fuel module replacement ? Skoda is taking a hefty margin ! (even if paid by warranty) To check if the pump was changed, just remove the rear seats bottom (it's attached with tabs) and open the plastic lid. You should see straight away if the module cover is new (clean) or old (dirty).

230 from 2015 should have VAQ. Make sure the oil change from the VAQ's Haldex is done

Hello guys ! On my O3, the coming/leaving home activated is activated. It uses the rear lights (quite normal) and the front beams (xenon). I have found in Carista and option to activate the fog lights, but the beams are still being used. Do you know if there is an option (in carista or VCDS) to use the fog lights ONLY during coming/leaving home ? Thanks

I bought (early 2021) my O3 RS 230 (2015 - 98000km) 2nd hand at the Skoda dealer that sold it new and serviced it. The e-diff had not been serviced ... I had to heavily insist that there was an haldex that needed service on the front axle ... Was done a bit late, no issue so fare.

That is correct.

The filter is intergrated in the fuel delivery module and is non-serviceable unfortunately.

The whole vent has to be removed. I did it. There are 8 tabs (4 top / 4 bottom) you have to pry from the vent and then just pull.

Indeed, the electronic part might be harder than the hardware part ... finding someone who REALLY knows his way in VAG system, it could be done fast. But it could lead to a nightmare too ...

The power of the MQB chassis is it's modularity. The mounting points of the sub-frame of a Superb and an Octavia are the same, engine position is the same, suspension is almost the same, etc... Have your mechanic measure, but basically you just need to drop the Superb sub-frames and fit them back to the Octavia. Frankly if you get a donor car that has good engine and subframes, you should be able to directly swap the sub-frames with every thing bolted to them.

Why don't you take the Superb rear sub-frame too ? It should fit to the Octavia. Basically you could get the WHOLE motor + gear box + sub-frames (front and rear) ? maybe even full Haldex system, but the fuel tank has to be changed as it is different on 4x4. Keep in mind that the DQ250 for haldex has an additional complication on the front differential to redirect the power on the rear end.

First frosts this weekend, the heated-windscreen works

I jump on this topic, sorry. Do you actually feel the windscreen heating up when the heat-up is ON ? I bought my 2nd hand car with some minor windscreen damage and I'm not sure if the heating cable are fine or not ... There is not fault coming.

Do you have a pre-facelift RS230 or a facelift 230 ? Because the pre-FL RS230 had a specific exhaust vs rs220 and it sounds quite nice.

My O3 (2013) with the 1.8 180 with DQ200 now has 185000km and the DSG has always been flawless. I had before a Fabia RS (2010) 1.4 tsi 180 dsg7 and the DQ200 also performed nicely (sold at 125000km). Just have the oils changed regularly (like a DSG6).

Did mine yesterday ! Went quite smoothly

I have a 1.8 tsi 180 with 183000km and it drives perfectly, as well as the dsg7 (dq200). the 1.4tsi is usually enough, the 1.8 tsi gives you the little more that makes the car enjoyable
