I remember pointing to a Nissan Leaf driving around the streets of Lisbon when we were there in June 2011.:)

@1 min 33 seconds of the first vid he says what the platform is.

With 10 years of the Leaf in production surely Nissan know there stuff & if not they are stuffed.

Funny that, I love the looks. Definitely a contender for me between Enyaq, Model Y and MAch E (Maybe ID4 but don't find it attractive need to see it in the flesh)

Some cheap lease deals but it is very much a marmite look…

I seem to remember the range was ok but not great for the battery size.

@cheezemonkhai  Any EV's range for the battery size is how many miles per kWh they get and Nissan are going to be getting pretty much the same as anyone else for the size of the car.

It is the older Hyundai Ioniq with the 28 kWh  battery which seems to get better efficiency than others or the top Mercedes.

Any others are pretty much of a likeness with Tesla at the top most of the time.

Rubbish efficiency really getting @ motorway speeds just 2.7 miles to the kWh in an empty car (Without the seat and boot occupied) @ 7*oC without knowing what the tyre pressures were at but being a media car they were likely overinflated.

This might even reflect on the ride.

How a cars suspension and handing is with people in a car should be more important to reviewers than how with just them if reviewing / test driving a large car / family car.  Possible EV Taxi.

I don’t really understand why electric cars don’t have an overdrive gear such that whilst cruising at say 55mph one or more motors is on a higher final drive to improve motorway efficiency.

Simply not needed.  When they are they will be introduced.

Lots of times you are coasting and using little energy or regening energy while still maintaining speed.

If you get behind a vehicle at a safe distance and draft it you can see clearer even than in an ICE vehicle just how little energy you can use.

I have to do that sometimes to get to a working charger.

You watch the Indicator and Dash instant show GREEN or BLUE or GREY and how much or little energy is used.

You have cars with setting that reduce power or just functions in the car to make more ECO.

My car can be ECO & 80ps, Normal 110 ps or Sport 136 ps.

Some will put into CC and be at ECO or Normal and maintain speed and hope for better economy / range, personally i find CC on does not drive as efficiently as driving the car and getting better regen than you do with CC.
