EGR issues 2006 Octavia Mk2 1.9 TDi PD 105

Hi all, my Skoda's EGR valve was knackered, the vacuum part was leaking so valve wasn't operating properly, which in turn caused error code for insufficient flow. Got new EGR valve, swapped it, as I was swapping it I found the old EGR was glued at the bottom, the bottom mushroom part / valve seems to be glued with yellowish substance. Anyhow, other weird thing is that there was some water in the pipe under EGR valve. Could be condensation, as it's a hot part but then again, it goes into EGR cooler if I'm right. Anyway, cleaned it, only little bit of water there was, nothing else came out. After fitting new EGR the revs for the first time in my ownership seemed right, good idling at last. Drove fine for quite a bit, then started missing. It's pulling and all of a sudden looses power, symptoms like you'd be running out of fuel, as it's jerking and feels like stalling for a second, then regains bit of power, then chokes again, and so on. No codes since I deleted the low flow error caused but stuck closed EGR valve. I'm thinking, someone glued the old one for a reason, not sure was it an attempt to block it or what? Any ideas?
