Hi, need help. i have a 2010 superb 3T5, 1.9tdi bxe, my question is i am going to change my engine, and wanted to know if i can take of the front of the car to allow removal of said engine from the front, in stead of from the Top or Bottom. any help appreciated thanks in advance.

Had my engine replaced under warranty and saw it while they were doing the work and they did remove the front of the car

 

Thats major surgery there....!  Can I ask what was wrong with the engine that it needed replaced ?  Thanks

It's a 1.8 tsi model and suffered increasing oil consumption to the point it felt like I was putting as much oil in as petrol!😀  Thankfully had an extended Skoda warranty on it and engine was replaced in Jan 2019.  Dealer was really good and no issues since. 

 

The pictures are from when they asked me if I wanted to see it before they put the new engine in - was gob smacked when I saw it!
