Cabin/Pollen Filter condition

Featured Replies

12000 miles since last major service I thought I would replace the cabin filter. This is the filter fitted 12000 miles and two years ago and question by the colour and condition if it was replaced. Its a  VAG VW BEHR and I would not be surprised if it was the factory original.

In two years, I'd expect it to be that grubby. Most likely lots of crumbs/debris in the quiltng, too! If its the same as a Fabia, they are very economical to replace from ecp, cp4l  and the like, specially with a discount code. Once a year is the best bet.

OK. I have not had aircon in a car before so I do not know what to expect. Thanks for the reassurance.

Doesn't look too bad. When they've not been replaced for a while there's usually a load of crud that falls out like leaves and dirt etc.

Be sure to get an active carbon filter. They provide better filtering.

There were leaves and some bodies of flies and other debris in the folds. Replaced it with a Mahle filter similar to the filter I took out.
