Turbo actuator

Featured Replies

Hi folks. Needing a little bit of help if possible. I have the 2.0tsi ccza engine(2011). I have the dreaded wastegate rattle on the turbo. I have tried the clip to try and fix it but its a no go.😔. Can the actuator be replaced on its own?

Any help would be brilliant.

Thanks.

As far as I'm concerned it is not fixable otherwise.

Mine still works with the special  spring clips and it's OK since few years now.

There is somone who managed to get the bush and actuator mechanism repaired. This was to get the wastegate to seal properly as it would not hold boost properly once it wears.  They used a specialist turbo rebuilding company.  I have no idea if it changed the "rattle".  It is possible new bushes and a tighter mechanism may be better but bear in mind these did it from new.

I installed a wastegate clip and I have never really noticed it since.  Maybe it is still there a bit. Just I do not notice it now.
