Airbag cover badge replacement

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of changing the steering wheel badge on my facelift octavia from the green one to the black and chrome one. It looks like the airbag is easy enough to remove but I can't see a tutorial for taking the cover off the airbag anywhere. Theres a few old threads but the relevant links aren't working any more. Can anyone share their experience or point me the right way? Just want to see it's worthwhile doing or not

I believe the general consensus was don’t mess with an airbag as it’s dangerous. Cover the current badge with a stick on of sorts.

Even if you managed to remove, whatever you replace it with could be flying in your face at the speed of light if the airbag went off in an accident.
