Retro-Fit FlatBlade Wipers!!!!!

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a Skoda but my wife has a Audi TT and she has just bought a pair of Retro-Fit Flatblade wipers like the ones you get on the new Octavias etc.

Here is the link to the TT forum on this:

Apparently they use the same clip as normal arms so can be fitted on all cars, just thought I would give you all the heads up as I tried to get Bosch ones for my car and I needed to buy a replacement arm (

Without sounding a bit too silly here .... flat blade what now?

Whats so fancy about the wipers on the octy 2?

I'd buy some if they fitted my Fabia (same size as on MkIV Golf, I believe)

Just off to look... :)

The Wiper Blade Box Says

No Streaking

No Squeeking

Last Longer

More than 1000 points of contact as opposed to 4-6 normal blades

Keep flat to screen even at high speeds

But most of all they look COOOOOOOOL :)

I have ordered some for my car

I got a courtesy Octavia with the flatblades on and they are different class

Well, they're single moulded flexible blades with everything in the rubber. And they do work a treat so far. I'll give further reports once the new car's run in and we can get above 110mph (ahem, constabule, I meant 70mph donchano narrimean).

Have to say i prefer the look of the real aerotwins.

Does upgrading to these flat blades stop the annoying drops of water that you get of the wiper arms and frames etc?

Have not had time to test them properly as it has not rained yet, just been testing it out with my screenwasher :(

Looks great so far though!
