Be interested to see if anyone has found a significant difference after fitting one. At 400 quid it's the same price as a remap. Remap or tuning box? ?? 

Whilst close it has one advantage, it can be removed.

A good tuning box is well worth it over a cheap one, just as a custom map over a generic one is also good. That said, of the past cars I've had of VAG, three I've remapped. I'm toying with my current one to go for a tuning box, mostly down to warranty. If it was beyond 3years, then I'd go for a remap again; maybe.

 

 

I've had the car 7 month now Colin. I bought and fitted a DTUK tuning box about a week after I got it. Dont get me wrong I defo THINK I felt a difference in response on the pedal straight away. Just interested to see if anyone else is 100% it makes a difference as the power of suggestion is still there. 

Umm interesting then.. with all bar one remap, well actually, all remaps I've noticed a difference.

 

One of note though, on the way back from having my gratis custom (4hrs ) map done. I had to stop of at the last workshop that mapped the car ( she was a bit of a test bed ) and got them to reset the ecu, the gratis custom one was dire.  So not all remaps are positive outcomes either.

 

I'd of thought the tuning box was similar, as in a noticeable uplift, I guess you could take it off for a trip... 

Its now off Colin. Removed it yesterday as my car is now in Henry skoda Glasgow. I might leave it off for a bit when I get it back on monday and update after that. Don't get me wrong I am not dissing DTUK in anyway
