Erratic Boot Closure

My boot always opens ok but sometimes when it fully opens it makes a double beep and then when I press the button to close it it beeps again and won't lower.

I then have to force the boot down manually to close it.

If I open it again it works fine, until say, a week later the same thing happens.

Has anyone else come across this?
