MK2 & MK3 Towbar compatibility

I've seen a towbar kit (fittings and electrics) advertised online which claims to be for 'Octavia from 2008 to present'. Can you put the same towbar on MK2 and 3? I didnt think so.

My car is a pre-facelift 2008 Octavia 4x4.

 

Also, does anyone know if towbar fittings for the MK1 & Mk2 are compatible? I'm really struggling to find a second hand one for my car.
