Anyone know if an ipod charging cable is the same / or will charge an iphone 5s???

 

A spare phone is on it's way but no charge cable included and genuine Apple lightning cables are not cheap.

If it's a USB to Lightning cable it should work - I use a mix of genuine Apple cables and Amazon Basics cables with my iPhone, SWMBOs iPad and our Apple TV remote.

If you ever need replacement  Apple approved virtually unbreakable  lighting cables, Costco normally have a set of 3 Juice cables for around £20.

No idea about that eBay one, but the Amazon Basics ones are fine with all our Apple devices including my iPhone XS.

Ended up buying a Wilko one....... Still a tenner though, for an Apple approved one. That's life I suppose, Lol.

Probably no different to the non approved one though...

Never had an issue with poundshop cables.

 

I think you need better ones (or chipped cables, they've got tiny chips in the connectors didn't you know) to use fast charge etc.
