how to disable alarm?

Featured Replies

Hi, just a quick question if anyone van be so kind to help. My mother has had a Skoda Rapid Spaceback 2019. When she leaves the dog in the car whislt  nipping to the shops the car alarm is activating. Please can you tell me how I disable the alarm?

 Many thanks

Welcome.

Not sure on a Rapid but is the switch not low down on the drivers door.

It tells you in the owners manual.

Thanks, I’ll pass that on. My mother says there’s no info on this in the manual but I doubt that. Cheers

It tells you about vehicles on transporters or ferries and leaving living things in the vehicles and inhibiting the interior sensors / alarm.

If it's the same as on my Toledo the button in question could be on the door pillar down at the side of the drivers seat. Press the button in and it should light indicating the interior sensors are cancelled.

Goes something like, remove the ignition key, press the button, lock car as normal. Upon unlocking the car again the sensors are reset so repeat the operation each time you don't want those trigger the alarm.👍

MickA is correct; its the same as the Toledo, in that if you turn and look down to your right while sitting in the drivers seat, you'll see a button with a car symbol and 'OFF' to the right of the door on the plastic trim. Once your engine is off, hit that button (it'll light up amber), jump out and lock car. Interior sensors have been deactivated.

Had to deactivate this when jacking my Rapid up yesterday. It must have thought it was on a ferry.
