Skoda Octavia MK3 Front Sensors not working

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I faced a peculiar issue today in my car. The front parking sensors don't seem to be working while the rear seems to be doing just fine. The orange light on the button keeps blinking when the parking sensors are on. The car does have 4 front sensors on the bumper. It does not have any other radars.

Anyone who has experienced the same before?

I will be organising a VCDS cable soon to check the car but could do with some suggestions on what needs to be done?

Thank you in advance

Just to give some more information, the car is a 1.8 TSI, Elegance trim (for India) and it is a 2013 model

You ned to do an Auto-Scan when you get your VCDS cable to see the fault codes - which will tell you which sensor(s) are causing the problem.

Thanks, will do that and revert. In the meanwhile if someone else has also faced such a problem it would be nice to know what happened in their situation

So i finally ran a scan and got the error of the front parking aid speaker open/ground. Anyone else who has had this or knows what to be done without taking it to the dealership?
