Wait for facelift or not, and what to expect?

Featured Replies

I suspect there will be 3 USB-C ports, 2 on dashboard below infotainment, and  another by the mirror (under a little cover) for those that want a dashcam.  But this is speculation based on other group models

But as with all facelifts, might gain something, and loose other features, so might not be worth waiting especially if price jumps

Audi already does.

You can already have 3 with MY21, the mirror port being an option (not available everywhere)

Source? I only know of BMW Drive Recorder and the GM dash cam solution. The BMW one is pretty nice.

Aftermarket in the sense that it’s an accessory that can be installed in the factory. Just like how with some VW group cars you can option a boot mat as a factory option.

Boot mat is still original accessory, if installed at the factory :)

But in the sense of overall conseption, you are right, I woud have expected little bit more. Some integration with onboard entartainment, recordind to car`s HDD, wired commection between PC/phone instead of wifi (super slow probably as they always are).

Still, there seem to be one improvement - parking mode incident is triggered not via camera`s lens, but integrated radar.

An external dash cam is as aftermarket as a roof rack in my eyes - doesn’t matter if branded by the OEM or not it’s an aftermarket accessory.

I agree with you about parking recording, but you wouldn’t get the sides of the car unless you have an integrated system or one of those two way front cameras (which the interior facing camera would only be able to see through the windows anyways)

I bought Samsung cigarette lighter fast charger. Not perfect solution, if you want to use Android Auto at the same time

Just to charge your phone a bit faster? And yet a few posts further up you were worrying about the ecological impact of buying just a cable, let alone the impact of an entire new charger.

Just like a lot of other people here he's a devil's advocate

First. Not bit faster, but times faster.

Second. If you would have followed the whole conversation, you would have noticed that I don`t give a sh*it about today`s ecological madness. What I wanted to point out, was that it could be only a matter of time when next Greta Th could find it out and raise a next ecohell.

Third. Comparing prurchase of a charger to a initial issue is like comparing a finger with a d*ck.

Not everyone needs to buy a fast charger, but everyone definitely needs to buy a new cable.

At least I would have. I have no C to C cabels at home. And I am the Cable Guy.

Too many ales in the evening - no good.
